Qatar Charity provided financial and humanitarian support for the restoration of damaged homes in the village of Al-Umqiyya, in the Al-Ghab Plain in the western countryside of Hama. The works were carried out by the Emergency Response Foundation in coordination with Hama Governorate. According to Hama Governorate, the project aims to improve services and living conditions for affected residents and to provide safe housing that enables families living in camps to return to their homes.

Qatar Charity launched the project on 16 May 2025 as the first phase of its plan to restore more than 1,500 homes across Idlib, Aleppo and Hama, announcing 300 homes in Al-Umqiyya for this phase. According to Qatar Charity, Hama's deputy governor attended the launch, and according to Al-Ikhbariah Syria, a large part of the funding came from donations raised in the charity's campaign on the 27th night of Ramadan.

By late July 2025, handover of the first restored homes had begun, with homes delivered in batches to allow quality checks, according to Qatar Charity's media officer speaking to Al-Watan. On 10 April 2026, the Emergency Response Foundation's supervising engineer told Al-Watan that about 281 of roughly 307 homes targeted in the first phase had been restored, partially or fully depending on the extent of damage, that work was continuing, and that the works had helped many families return to the village from camps in northern Syria. Later in April 2026, Hama Governorate announced that field teams had completed the restoration of a number of homes in the village, leaving them fully ready for their residents after a period of displacement.
