The Chief Executive of the Syrian Petroleum Company, Youssef Qabblawi, received a delegation from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy comprising representatives of several major Saudi companies active in the energy sector. Rmeilan Field Development Plans

Separately, Qabblawi and Mark Rollins, Chief Executive of the American company HKN Energy, held a joint press conference at the Rmeilan oil fields in Hasakah Governorate. The two executives outlined plans to develop production using modern technologies, with a targeted timeline to gradually raise output at the fields to approximately 200,000 barrels per day.
